Dream
Definition:
The cosmic play of Brahman experiencing itself through subdivision into Atman and multiplicity.
Not “unreal,” but a mode of self-experience within the infinite.
Dream-1 (Ego View):
The dream feels heavy, solid, and binding.
Life is experienced as serious, restrictive, and something to be struggled through.
Dream-2 (Self View):
The dream feels light and playful.
Life is recognized as Brahman’s self-reflection — an infinite being enjoying its own possibilities.
Additional Detail
Nature: The world exists because Brahman, being limitless, manifests subdivisions (Atman) to experience itself from within itself.
Mechanics: Identification determines the tone of the dream: ego perceives it as binding, Self perceives it as play.
Metaphor: Like a lucid dream: when asleep (ego), the dream feels heavy and real; when lucid (Self-aware), it is recognized as one’s own creation.
